Which Kitchen Mixer is Best?

Which Kitchen Mixer?

Which kitchen mixer is the best?So this Kitchen-Aid mixer is another life-changing gadget for me. I bought it 5 years ago, and it is still going strong. It saves so much time in the kitchen & is another tool that makes cooking enjoyable for me. My little boy likes this machine more than anything else in the house! We use it for anything from fresh whipped cream to mashed potatoes. With optional attachments you can make pasta, grind whole wheat flour, and even stuff sausage!

Last year I met a lady who has had the same mixer (older model) for 30 years & it still works great. This workhorse replaced my hand mixer and will probably be the only mixer I’ll ever have to buy. This mixer runs around $250 – $300, but is worth every penny!

I have the Classic, but have noticed that there are other Kitchen Aid mixers. Do you know what the difference is between the Artisan and others? My motor doesn’t like my double cookie batches…perhaps mine is a step down from yours…

The Artisan Series retails at $349.99, and the Classic Series retails at $239.99. Both use the tilting head movement, but the Artisan has a 9 cup capacity, compared with the 8 cup capacity of the Classic. The Artisan has a higher wattage (325 vs. 250), a Comfort Handle, and comes in more colors than the Classic. There are 19 different Kitchen-Aid mixers to choose from, so follow this link to use the comparison tool: http://www.kitchenaid.com/flash.cmd?/#/category/230/

The more you pay, the more powerful the mixer. But in the end, I think that you can’t go wrong with any of the mixers by Kitchen-Aid!

My husband tried to buy one of these for me for years, but I kept putting him off because I thought it was too expensive. When I finally said that I was ready for one, it was my BEST baking appliance decision ever. I couldn’t live without it now! The only thing I would do differently would be to purchase one with the strongest motor if I had to replace it now, because I have a few recipes that are difficult to mix because I double the recipe.
