Which Jeans are Best?

I know, I know, items like blue jeans are very subjective (they all look and feel differently), but this is my blog and I can voice my opinion on what I love!

About 5 years ago I found a 50% off sale on Diesel jeans. Although the sale prices were still higher than any other jeans I had ever previously purchased, I decided to give them a try. Wow. The jeans felt like they were made for me! I had always made fun of people who wore expensive clothes, but I soon realized my folly. The jeans were comfortable, yet not baggy and strange-looking. For a few minutes in that dressing room I felt like a super star! I selected the 3 best-fitting jeans (I wanted more), closed my eyes, and handed my debit card to the cashier.

But surprisingly I never experienced buyer’s remorse! After 5 years, I’ve only  purchased 1 additional pair of jeans, because I still love these Diesel jeans…and they are my primary jeans.

Having traveled to Italy it is easy to understand why these Italian-made jeans are so popular in America. Americans want to become stylish, and the Italians are, well, the epitome of stylish. I really love the boot cut jeans, which usually come in a somewhat slim fit. Most American brand jeans are way to baggy for my liking.

Anyway, I’m not sure what else I can say about these jeans, other than encourage you to go try on a pair, even if you’re not ready to buy. It’ll give you something to look forward to. Instead of wasting a bunch of money on jeans that you’ll hate next year, why not spend a bit more on jeans that will be in style 5 years down the road!

Please let me know what experiences you’ve had with Diesel Jeans, or share other brands that you love!

Nordstroms is one of the few places I buy nice jeans, because of their liberal return policy. I believe that you can return any product at any time. If you’re out west, I know that Down East Outfitters occasionally gets shipments of Diesel seconds, and they are priced at 50% off!
