I first fell in love with The Knight Residence a decade ago. The free parking lot and the convenient location was my initial reason for choosing this upscale hotel (walking distance to the Edinburgh Castle, The Royal Mile, and Princes Street), but the style, amenities, comfort, and top-notch customer service kept me coming back whenever I was in Scotland.

One thing that originally excited me about The Knight Residence, is that I wasn’t staying in a hotel room, but in a 5 star apartment.
Whether you stay in a 1 bedroom, 2 bedroom, or 3 bedroom apartment your guest suite will come with a kitchen and living room, which really makes you feel at home. It’s also nice to be able to save some money by cooking some of your own meals!
Or you can have some really great Indian food delivered to your room, and sit at the dining table as a family. Ask Colin Stone, The Knight Residence manager, for some excellent restaurants in the area.
I’m really big on staying in hotels that have stylish decor, so The Knight Residence exceeded that need. You’ll only find the highest quality furniture and bedding in these rooms.
Everywhere you look, you’ll notice little details that The Knight Residence thought of to provide you with a satisfied stay. I mean, come on, how many hotels provide you with DVD players, CD players, and free movie rentals? Very few.
Our apartment even came with a washer/dryer, so we could give our clothes a washing before heading to the highlands.
Whether you’re planning a quick business trip to Edinburgh, a honeymoon to see the Edinburgh Festival, or a family trip around Scotland, definitely stay in The Knight Residence, one of my absolute favorite hotels in Scotland!

I definitely love the location. I’m a huge foodie — super passionate about going out to eat and cooking. Seeing that its close to a lot of restaurants of different cuisines is perfect. I also think the amenities seem awesome and very apartment-like compared to your average standard issue hotel.

There is so much to love about this hotel. It’s in a great location which is my most important criteria when selecting a hotel for vacation. I also love that there is a combined washing machine and tumble dryer so I can do my laundry from the comfort of my room and won’t have to carry any dirty laundry with me back home.
