Anyone who knows me knows how much I love The Lord of the Rings books and movies. Heck, right now I’m even reading the books to my 2-year-old son! In case you’ve been living in a cave, here’s a trailer:
Even if you’re not a fantasy geek, these movies will draw you right in. The plot moves perfectly, the details are amazing, and the director Peter Jackson did a fantastic job keeping the movies intense, while leaving out the cheesiness.
Yes, the movies can be scary for youngsters. I remember seeing the first movie, Fellowship of the Ring, in Alaska with my nephews Ben & Ammon. They both started bawling when one of the lead characters died. However there is no profanity or sex.
Fellowship of the Ring was followed by Two Towers and then Return of the King. I’ve often been asked “which of the Lord of the Rings movies is your favorite Josh?” I always answer, “all of them!”
Anyway, please share your comments on some of your favorite movies that you think I may like & if I love them, I’ll review them!
