Hotels: Kandahar Lodge – Whitefish, Montana

I first discovered this great upscale hotel on a summer business trip to Montana. My business partner and I were warmly greeted in the rustic, yet grand lobby. The rooms were cozy & spotless (which is important to me), the beds were comfortable, and the free breakfast was excellent (I really like freebies). And you can’t beat the view of the mountains. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen so much vibrant colors. One of my favorite things about this lodge, is that it’s near Glacier National Park, one of my favorite places on earth (easy, easy…I’ll do a review on it soon…).

The Kandahar Lodge at Whitefish Mountain Ski Resort is one of the nicest hotels near Glacier National Park. I didn’t ski while I was here, but on my second visit I used the ski lifts to enjoy downhill mountain biking. If you haven’t done that, you’re missing out! The mountains are so tall that the downhill ride just keeps going, and going, and going. There are so many fun things to do at and around the lodge, no matter the season you decide to visit.
